Mentorship Program | CACN

The Canadian Association of Child Neurology (CACN) Resident Representatives run a Mentorship Program for our “Junior” members.

Since its launch in 2017, the Mentorship Program has successfully connected dozens of pediatric neurology residents with staff pediatric neurologists across the country.

Mentorship is a rewarding and valuable experience for mentees as well as mentors. Pediatric neurology is a diverse specialty, and we aim to match mentors and mentees who share similar interests (career path, subspecialty, etc.) and can benefit from each other's experiences, perspectives, and professional insights.

The program is open to Canadian pediatric neurology residents in PGY1-PGY4. Residents must hold a CACN Resident Membership. The CACN mentor–mentee relationship formally lasts two years, and we expect mentor–mentee pairs to connect 3–4 times per year (virtually and, if possible, at the CNSF Annual Congress).

We encourage child neurology trainees to take advantage of this opportunity to build meaningful connections with mentors across the country!
